...because
kids matter to God
Wednesday Night Children's Program
September through May
AWANA stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed. The
program is for pre-kindergarten to fifth grade.
It is nationally recognized and runs during the school year.
Children earn uniforms and awards through scripture memorization and
activities.
There are three distinct aspects of AWANA:
- Handbook Time: Children work closely with their leaders
to memorize key scriptures and Bible facts.
- Game Time: Structured games incorporating the AWANA
circle teach sportsmanship and team play.
- Council/Green Meadow Time: Here the children learn about
the gift God gives us and how to live in a way that honors Him.
